At a meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament on Monday, Speaker Ogtay Asadov accused OSCE PA Special Representative on the South Caucasus Kristian Vigenin of insincerity, noting that his appointment to such a position was wrong, APA reported.

“Recently [Vigenin] was in Azerbaijan. He said he would only hold meetings in parliament and with public representatives during his visit to the region,” the speaker said, adding. “Then he visited Armenia and held meetings there with Armenia’s leadership and representatives of the separatist regime created in the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.”

These meetings show how insincere the OSCE PA special representative is and how he serves double standards, Asadov stressed. “His hasty appointment to such a position was wrong.”

The speaker reminded that the Azerbaijani president in his speech at the UN General Assembly accused western organizations of demonstrating a double-standard approach.
