Reliable and ever-developing relations have been built between NATO and Azerbaijan, said James Apparthurai, NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Apparthurai made the remarks at the event titled “Presentation of JCP Phase III, The Future of ANAMA-NATO/NSPA PfP Trust Fund projects in Azerbaijan”, which was held in Baku on Tuesday, APA reported.

He said the Jeyranchel project is a direct contribution to the people.

Reaffirming his support for the project, Apparthurai said. “The third phase of the project is beginning. Certain work is underway in this direction. This is a profitable investment. We share this experience with Georgia. Azerbaijan and Georgia, in turn, share their experience with Afghanistan. This project is developing, it ensures the safety of people in the world. Unfortunately, people still need protection due to the ongoing processes in the world.”

The special representative then expressed his gratitude to the US and Turkey for their contribution to the project.
