A new contract on development of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of oil and gas fields will make a great contribution to the economy of Azerbaijan, Alan Duncan, UK Minister for Europe and the Americas, told reporters in Baku on Thursday, APA reported.
He noted that the signing of the new contract is a good event for the UK and Azerbaijan.
“We already have a new contract of the century in our hands. This contract is an indicator of relations between the UK and Azerbaijan,” said Duncan, adding. “I can proudly say that this contract was signed between BP and SOCAR, and it will give a new impetus to President’s Ilham Aliyev policy.”
