The Eid al-Adha prayer was performed and sermons were delivered in Taza Pir and Ajdarbay mosques in Baku on September 1, APA reported.
The Eid prayer was performed under the leadership of the imams. The prayers to the souls of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland, as well as the rules of sacrifice were read during the sermons. Following the prayer, the people congratulated one another on the occasion of the holiday.
The Eid prayer was performed in all mosques throughout the country.
The Eid al-Adha is celebrated on September 1 and 2 in Azerbaijan.
