An Armenian citizen who committed a traffic accident that killed a woman and her underage child in Georgia faces up to 10 years in prison.
The Armenian citizen (1995) killed 38-year-old mother and her 5-year-old child who were standing on the pavement as a “Nissan Tiida” driven by him hit the mother and her child in the Surami district on 5 August, APA's local bureau reports citing the Georgian Interior Ministry.
The mother and child died in the accident.
A criminal case has been opened. The Armenian citizen is awaiting a sentence of six to ten years in prison.
According to the Armenian press, the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is analyzing the details of the traffic accident.
