In Azerbaijan there are more crimes of giving, rather than taking, bribe, Deputy Prosecutor General, Head of the Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev told a press conference on Monday, APA reported.
As a result of official inspections conducted in connection with the appeals sent to the relevant structures, 12 officials were warned in connection with offenses that were not criminal in nature and 5 officials were reprimanded, disciplinary measure was taken against 2 officials, he said.
"Ten people were suspended from their posts. In order to eliminate the violations of the law that were identified as a result of the investigation and to prevent their repetition in the future, a submission was sent to the appropriate structures and officials,” Aliyev added.
