President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved the amendments to the Law on Telecommunication.
APA reports that an article #50-1 was annexed to the law.
According to the article, an operator or provider may advertise on the basis of agreement signed with an advertiser. The operator may send the advertising message to the subscriber when they have an agreement. Operator and provider should create opportunity for subscriber to deny advertising message anytime or choose any type of advertisement. Operator or provides bear responsibility if they send advertising message to a subscriber without his/her permission or the advertisement does not comply with the requirements of the Law on Advertising.
In case if the operator or provider signed an agreement with the subscriber, the operator or provider stops sending advertising message to the subscriber after they receive request from subscriber to stop sending message.
The advertising messages may be sent till they respond to request of the subscriber.
