Two hospitals available in Azerbaijan for possible Crimean-Congo fever cases

Azerbaijan’s Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev has signed an order on enhanced preventive measures against Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever, APA reported.

The minister has ordered that heads medical facilities and directors of hygienic and epidemiologic centers medical workers be provided with more detailed information about Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever, suspected patients be immediately isolated and the Republican Anti-Plague Station be informed, and samples taken from suspected patients be submitted to the Republican Anti-Plague Station.

Counter-epidemic and disinfection measures have been tightened at medical facilities.

The Baku City Healthcare Department has been instructed to ensure hospitalization of suspected Crimean-Congo fever patients at Clinic Medical Center and Hospital No.1 for children with contagious diseases.
