In January-May 2017, the retail trade turnover stood at AZN 12.9 billion, up 1.9% from previous year.
According to State Statistical Committee, 99.9% of consumer products were sold by non-state entities, including 11.4% by trade enterprises.
Per consumer bought AZN 266.2 goods, up AZN 37.2 from 2016.
Retail sale of food products, tobacco and drinks in 2017 exceeded 2016’s level 0.8% and reached 6,529.0 mln, non-food products rose 2.9% to AZN 6,389.3 mln.
Per consumer purchased AZN 134.5-food products, drinks and tobacco products, AZN 131.7 – non-food products per month.
