OPEC Secretary General Sanusi Barkindo expresses his sadness about Aliyev’s death and said he had impact on ministers: “He was respected due to his features such as leadership and wisdom. His features and diplomatic efforts played important role in oil discussions in the second half of 2016, achievement of historical cooperation between OPEC and non-OPEC members in December 2016, as well as extension of agreement in May. Natig Aliyev was one of the main architects of this historical decision”.
