Azerbaijan’s ruling party, the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), held an event on Wednesday dedicated to June 15 – National Salvation Day.
The event began with screening of a video devoted to national leader Heydar Aliyev, APA reported.
Addressing the event, Deputy Prime Minister, YAP Executive Secretary Ali Ahmadov spoke about the progress Azerbaijan made.
He noted that YAP is a great army serving the ideas of Heydar Aliyev. “The number of party members will soon reach to 700,000. One of the large resources of modern Azerbaijan is YAP. I am sure that the party will further contribute to the development of Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. I wish our people to live a more prosperous life and the occupied territories to be liberated”, said Ahmadov.
Head of Nasimi District Executive Authority Asif Asgarov, who is also a member of the YAP Political Council, stressed that June 15 is the day when the Azerbaijani people decided their own destiny.
