Palestinian envoy: Azerbaijan at forefront of efforts to address many challenges

Azerbaijan, which is an integral and important member of the Muslim ummah, embodies the true spirit of Islam supporting justice in such matters as the occupation of the Muslim territories of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, Palestinian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nasser Abdul Kareem Abdul Rahim said at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

President Aliyev on Tuesday received ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of Muslim countries in Azerbaijan on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Azerbaijan is at the forefront of joint efforts to address many challenges, stressed the Palestinian envoy.

He called Azerbaijan ‘an exemplary place’ where the true spirit of Islam prevails and inclusiveness and tolerance are of great importance.

The Palestinian diplomat also reaffirmed the Muslim world’s support for Azerbaijan’s fair stance on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
