Former Jimmy Carter adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski dies at 90

Zbigniew Brzezinksi, former national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter, has died at the age of 89, his daughter said, APA reports quoting the Washington Post.

He is the father of MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski.

"We are remembering my father tonight with the love of his life who inspired him and shared in his wonderful life over six decades", - Mika Bzezinski said.

Zbigniew Kazimierz Brzezinski was a Polish-American diplomat and political scientist. He served as a counselor to President Lyndon B. Johnson from 1966 to 1968 and was President Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor from 1977 to 1981. Brzezinski belongs to the realist school of international relations, standing in the geopolitical tradition of Halford Mackinder and Nicholas J. Spykman.
