Azerbaijan police detain two charged with making counterfeit money

The Azerbaijani police have detained two men charged with making counterfeit money.

Law enforcement agencies told APA that two men entered a store and bought food giving fake money. After receiving the information, the police detained the two men—Jalilabad district residents Ramal Abulhasanov and Shahaddin Musayev.

During the inspection of Ramal’s car, 5 AZN100 banknotes were found and seized by the police.

In another operation, 240 AZN100 banknotes were seized from Jalilabad district police Jalilabad’s Shikhlar village resident Safa Garashov.

Both facts are under investigation. A criminal case has been opened under Article 204 (manufacturing or selling of counterfeit money or securities).
