Azerbaijani, Georgian, Turkish special forces to hold joint drills

Special forces of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey will hold joint exercises in the coming days, said Georgia’s Defense Minister Levan Izoria.

He made the remarks at a press conference following the trilateral meeting with his Azerbaijani and Turkish counterparts in Batumi May 23, APA’s Georgia bureau reported.

“Besides, exercises on information technologies will take place in September 2017. We are willing to increase the number of such exercises in future and further expand the military cooperation among the three countries”, he said.

The minister noted that the developing military cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Georgia is of great importance in terms of ensuring the safety of the peoples of the countries and their economic development.

Izoria highly appreciated the joint activity of Georgia and Turkey in defense field. “We have met five times this year. We discussed the most important issues at today’s meeting. I believe that the developing cooperation between our countries will expand further”, he added.
