Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations Kemaleddin Heydarov received a delegation led by former President of the Senate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Chairman of the Dutch Friends of Azerbaijan Group Rene van der Linden on May 18.
Minister Heydarov gave detailed information on the work done in Azerbaijan to prevent emergencies and eliminate their consequences, as well as to manage water resources. The minister stressed the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations and the relevant bodies of the Netherlands.
It was noted that the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment in 2014 on water resources managements played an important role in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation. The main work on effective water resource managements is almost completed, and efforts within the joint project are underway.
In turn, Rene van der Linden underlined the prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations and relevant bodies of the Netherlands.
