Azerbaijani MP Ali Huseynli said Tuesday he believes that the Russian Supreme Court will change its decision on the liquidation of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress (VAK).
“Russia must know that the decision taken by the Supreme Court can seriously damage its relations with Azerbaijan,” Huseynli, who is also the head of the Azerbaijan-Russia inter-parliamentary relations working group, said addressing a parliamentary meeting on Tuesday, APA reported.
He noted that Azerbaijan has always supported and put priority on its relations with Russia in all international platforms. He called on Russia to take the same position in respect to Azerbaijan.
“Strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia has reached a high-level in recent years,” he added.
