Azerbaijan’s State Security Service (SSS) has launched an investigation into reports of certain persons who were involved in secret collaboration with the liquidated Ministry of National Security, as well as of their confidential nicknames.
The SSS public relations department told APA that issues relating to disclosure of state secrets and their sources are currently under investigation.
The SSS stressed that data about people who confidentially collaborate with agencies carrying out intelligence, counterintelligence, and search operations are considered state secrets, which bring on criminal responsibility when leaked.
