The Main State Traffic Police Department of Azerbaijan’s Interior Ministry has addressed heads of officers, facilities, organizations, as well as individuals and legal entities operating in downtown Baku.

In connection with the upcoming Islamic Solidarity Games, special yellow game lanes have been painted on some streets and roads for cars to be involved in the Games in May 5 to 25, the police department said in a statement on May 5.

"To ensure a convenient and uninterrupted traffic in Baku, the Main State Traffic Police Department call on the heads of departments, enterprises and organizations located in the center of the capital, as well as to legal entities and individuals operating in the territory where traffic will be restricted, to ensure the parking of their vehicles only along the edge of the roadway. Those who have no such parking near their offices are advised to use public transport instead,” said the police department.

We have to bring to drivers’ notice that any car parked on the wrong roadside or causing difficulty for traffic movement will be evacuated and their drivers will be taken administrative action against. We call on everyone to comply with traffic rules during the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games,” said the statement.
