Poland wants to bring the case of Smolensk plane crash before the International Court of Justice, Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski said at the meeting with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, the Polish Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

“The Smolensk plane crash was one of the points on the agenda of our talks with Tillerson. I asked for support. It could be in the form of diplomatic and political pressure on Russia to return the wreckage and to start cooperating with us. It could be in the form of legal assistance, because we want to bring this case before the International Court of Justice. It could be a reminder that one of the Allied states is harmed by the lack of cooperation with Russia because the crash has not been explained,” added Minister Waszczykowski.
