The brother of Mikheil Saakashvili, former Governor of Odessa region, has been deprived of right to permanent residence in Ukraine.

The news was announced by Mikheil Saakashvili himself in a Facebook post, APA reported citing Lenta.ru.

"Yesterday I learned that on the basis of a letter from the Security Service, the permanent residence permit for my brother David Saakashvili had been canceled and that he is obliged to leave Ukraine. Businesses of those who support us are being shut down, but nobody is touching the oligarchs. We’ll break it through! All this proves once again that we are on the right track," he wrote on Facebook.

It should be noted that May 2015 to November 2016 Saakashvili served as head of the Odesa Regional State Administration. Then he announced his resignation, stressing that it is difficult to remedy the situation in one region when corrupt officials continue to dominate the whole country. In February 2017, Mikhail Saakashvili registered his party.
