A delegation led by the newly-appointed chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the European Parliament, David McAllister, is expected to visit Azerbaijan in May, the chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s Committee on International and Interparliamentary Relations, Samad Seyidov, told APA on Friday.
Seyidov recalled that the delegation led by him recently visited Brussels where they held important meetings that will most likely to promote bilateral relations.
“We had meetings with some European Parliament officials, including Foreign Affairs Committee Chair David McAllister, and discussed the development of bilateral ties,” he said.
Seyidov added that discussions on further expansion of ties between Azerbaijan and the European Parliament will continue during McAllister’s planned visit to Azerbaijan.
