Azerbaijani Embassy in the US has organized an event in Washington on Nowruz Holiday, APA reports citing to the embassy.
The event was attended by our Azerbaijanis living in Washington and around, diplomatic corpus and local community.
Making speech in the event, Azerbaijani ambassador Elin Suleymanov reminded that this holiday is related to revival of the nature and Azerbaijani people gained independence and freedom of speech in 1991, leaving the revival stage behind.
He also noted that Azerbaijan has its decent position and turned into an influential state in the world as a result of Heydar Aliyev’s strategy and president Ilham Aliyev’s purposeful policy.
The event ended with musical part. The guests were presented national meals and Nowruz sweeties.
