Azerbaijani MP’s nephew charged with swindle released in courtroom

The Baku Court of Grave Crimes has concluded the trial in the case of Namig Ahmadov, a nephew of Azerbaijani MP Vahid Ahmadov.

The court pronounced a verdict sentencing Namig Ahmadov, charged with swindle, to to suspended sentence with two years of probation. He was then released in the courtroom.

The jury took into consideration the fact that the accused had paid off the damaged caused to the victims.

It should be noted that Namig was charged with swindle for receiving 5,000 manats from Rasim Isgandarov, falsely promising that he would employ the latter as an accountant. He was accused of swindling a total of 30,000 manats from different people in the same way.
