Former Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Apas Jumagulov has commented on his country’s refusal to sign the declaration adopted at the 13th Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit in Islamabad, which urges respect for countries’ territorial integrity and sovereignty, the resolution of conflicts within the norms and principles of international law.

“I cannot give an instant reaction to this matter. Perhaps, there were some issues people present there couldn’t undertake or resolve,” the former Kyrgyz premier told reporters in Baku March 18.

Asked about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Jumagulov said the problem must be resolved by way of negotiations, adding that all must be done to settle the conflict.
