Latvia and Azerbaijan enjoy very good bilateral relations, President of Latvia Raimonds Vejonis told reporters in Baku.
President Vejonis is taking part in the 5th Global Baku Forum titled “The Future of International Relations: Power and Interests” which kicked off in Baku March 16.
The president expressed hope for further development of Latvia-Azerbaijan ties.
Vejonis said he will discuss with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev new prospects of the development of bilateral ties.
“We’re expecting the Azerbaijani president to visit Riga this year. We’re going to continue the discussions there,” he added.
