There is no alternative to European integration for Albania, said the country’s President Bujar Nishani.
He made the remarks addressing a panel discussion entitled “The Future of International Relations”, held as part of the Fifth Global Baku Forum on March 16.
The president noted that Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina are working on European integration.
“We believe that European integration is the only way and we must work in this direction. There is no alternative to European integration for us. This is a process, and after a while we will be a member of the same family,” he added.
Nishani went on to say that Albania has rich natural resources, water resources, good climate and coastal zone.
“We can use these resources and cooperate with neighboring countries. We can attract investors to successfully implement our projects. We will be a good example by ensuring peace, stability and development,” said the president.
