According to the order on the reconstruction of the 1st micro-district in Baku, old five- and nine-storey buildings will be demolished and replaced with new residential buildings, Elkhan Asadov, deputy chief of the State Agency for Control over Construction Safety of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) told reporters on Wednesday, APA reported.
Asadov said the project was initiated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“This is a pilot project that will cover other micro-districts of Baku in case it proves successful,” he added.
