There are ongoing conflicts on the territory of many Council of Europe (CoE) member states, said Samad Seyidov, Azerbaijani MP, Head of the Azerbaijani Delegation to PACE.
There are more than 4 million refugees and internally displaced persons in Turkey and Azerbaijan, said the MP addressing a meeting of the PACE Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons in Baku March 15, APA reported.
“If we speak about the refugees from Italy and Greece, the situation becomes even more complicated,” he said.
Russia faced sanctions after the annexation of the Crimea, and following the recent meeting of PACE, Turkey will also be under supervision, said Seyidov, adding. “We don’t consider this to be fair. The work of the Committee on Migration, Refugees and Displaced Persons is important in these matters.”
The MP noted that the he believes in finding ways to solve these problems after the meeting in Baku.
