The Azerbaijan International Education Complex, a founder of the Qafqaz University, passed a decision on Jan. 9 to liquidate the university, the university rector, Havar Mammadov, told APA.
A liquidation commission has already been established, the rector said.
According to Mammadov, the transfer of students to other universities and the university’s possible operation under another name depend on the decision of relevant bodies.
“The rights of students and teachers won’t be violated. The International Education Complex is working in this regard,” he added.
Mammadov refused to answer the question whether the university has already suspended its operation or not.
