Complaints related to fake diplomas are decreasing in Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, head of the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General, told a press conference on Monday, APA reported.
According to Aliyev, there are two types of fake diplomas. “In some cases it is obviously seen that the diplomas are counterfeited, in some cases it is hard to determine its authenticity. Citizens present their diplomas during recruitment and it is found out that they are fabricated. In other cases, it is hard to reveal whether the diploma issued 30 years ago is fabricated or not,” he added.
The Anti-Corruption Department is taking measures against fake diplomas upon the request of the Education Ministry, Aliyev pledged.
