Azerbaijan’s Milli Mejlis (parliament) on Friday held the last plenary meeting of the 2016 autumn session.
Addressing the meeting, Speaker Ogtay Asadov said fruitful work was done in the autumn session during which 195 laws and decisions were adopted.
He added that Azerbaijani MPs paid more than 50 visits to 24 countries and observed the parliamentary and presidential elections in several countries.
On behalf of the parliamentarians, Speaker Asadov congratulated the Azerbaijani people and President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year.
The autumn session wrapped up after Azerbaijan’s national anthem was played.
