Baku. Etibar Mammadov – APA. No offences have so far been recorded at Azerbaijan’s polling stations, Wolfgang Großruck, a member of the Austrian parliament, told an APA correspondent in Baku Sept. 26.

The MP noted that he has observed six polling stations.

“We did not see any offences at the polling stations. I can say the voter turnout was high. A quarter of the voters had already voted,” he said.

“Some opposition organizations and non-governmental organizations think that Azerbaijan has offered us bribe to get a positive opinion for the voting. We regret them thinking so of our unbiased report,” he added.

The referendum for making amendments to Azerbaijan’s Constitution kicked off at 8:00 am local time and will wrap up at 7:00 pm.

The number of voters in Azerbaijan stands at 5,267,111 people.
