Goychay. Elvin Yagubov – APA. Police have arrested the man who murdered a businessman while asleep in Azerbaijan’s Goychay district, stabbing him 16 times.
Investigations have made it clear that the murder was committed by mistake, APA’s local bureau reported.
During the interrogation, the murderer, Aghdam district resident Sarkhan Suleymanov (1991), killed businessman Jabrayil Karimov mistakenly while chasing Guliyev Orkhan who had kidnapped his sister, Nargila Suleymanova (1982), for the purpose of marriage.
Then Orkhan and Sarkhan had a quarrel in Aghdam district. Outraged by the return of his kidnapped sister to the home, Sarkhan Suleymanov went to Goychay district to take revenge.
However, he confused the address – Heydar Aliyev avenue -24 with Huseynbala Aliyev – 24, entered to Jabrayil Karimov’s apartment and killed him.
The murderer was detained by police officers.
Orkhan Guliyev has been married five times.

Karimov Jabrayil, 1963, was killed while asleep by an unknown person in his house on June 30 at about 01:00 am.
He received 16 stab wounds and died on the spot. The murderer, reportedly the resident of Aghdam district, fled the scene.
An investigation has been launched into the fact.
Karimov had engaged in restaurant business in Goychay district for years.
