Shaki. Vugar Heydarov – APA. Strong winds and heavy rainfall caused serious damage to two villages of Shaki district.
Shaki district executive power's office told APA that strong winds and heavy rainfall brought down utility poles and damaged roofs of 20 houses in the Jumakand and Shorsu villages of Shaki district today at about 16:00.
Strong wind also damaged roofs of cattle stalls, took down trees along Yevlakh-Zagatala-Georgia highway. Heavy rainfall flooded courtyards and basements of several houses. Flood reached to the Yevlakh-Zagatala-Georgia highway passing through the Jumakand and Shorsu villages.
Under the instruction of the head of Shaki district executive authority, the working group and employees of local executive bodies were deployed on the site to calculate the damage.
