First Deputy Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Vilayat Eyvazov said at a meeting with extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors and other representatives of the diplomatic corpus accredited in the country, APA reports.
Eyvazov mentioned that 90 percent of the offences were the crimes posing no great public danger and less grave crimes, and only 10 percent were grave or especially grave crimes.
It was said that one of the issues of concern in recent years has been religious extremism and growing terrorist challenges and threats on religious motives. In this respect, relevant state agencies are taking serious measures to capture Azerbaijani citizens involved in armed conflicts, terrorism and religious extremism, to restrict their border crossing and keeping them under surveillance.
