“I have lost $200,000 in my account in Royal Bank that closed three years ago,” the singer told APA.

Zurufchu said he has appealed to relevant authorities but all to no avail.

Natig Yusifoglu, the director of Azerbaijan International Consulting Company LLC, the liquidator of Royal Bank, told APA that the aforementioned bank has been on the verge of bankruptcy since August 2012.

Yagub Zurufchu has already received part of his deposit, and at present, Royal Bank does not have sufficient means to return to the depositors their savings, Yusifoghlu added.

“In accordance with the law, upon receipt of funds in tranches, they are distributed among investors. Therefore, payments on loans granted by the liquidator are being gathered, and some parts of savings are being paid to the depositors, including Yagub Zurufchu. Within a certain period of time, all payments will be made,” he concluded.
