Former Norwegian PM: Azerbaijanâ€™s declaration of 2016 as year of intercultural dialogue is of high importance

Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. Azerbaijan’s declaration of 2016 as the year of intercultural dialogue is of high importance, former Norwegian Prime Minister Harlem Brundtland told reporters in Baku March 10.

“The multicultural world opens up good opportunities for the generations to come. I congratulate Azerbaijan on making such an initiative, which is going to help push forward the multicultural world that we need,” she said.

The establishment of cooperation and relations between countries and cultures is of high importance, Brundtland said. “It is a pleasing fact that Baku has turned into a center for establishing such cooperation and directs its experience and knowledge towards this direction,” she added.
