Another Azerbaijani elected deputy in Latvia

Vuqar Ejmanis, originally from Azerbaijan’s Kurdamir district, has been elected member of the Vamiera City Duma.

Born in 1970 in Kurdamir, Vuqar Ejmanis has been living in Europe for 25 years. He has took part in successful business projects in a number of European countries and has been playing a key part in strengthening the Azerbaijani community’s role in Valmiera. He is currently is the head of the committee for agriculture, transportation and business environment. Ejmanis is eyeing to join the upcoming mayoral election.

Note that, as part of the joint project called “Azerbaijanis beyond the border…” between APA Holding and Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Work with Diaspora, meetings are being held with Azerbaijanis living abroad.
