Abulfas Garayev delivers speech at conference in Oxford University

Baku. Farid Mirzayev – APA. Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev has made a visit to London to participate in Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation’s 15th conference on the theme “Challenges of the shared world”.

The conference, organized by the UN Alliance of Civilizations took place under the auspices of Holy Anthony College’s Middle East Center. In his speech, Abulfas Garayev spoke about the Baku Process which envisions global intercultural dialogue movement on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue also on the initiative of head of state as well as the 7th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations which will take place in Baku on 25-27 April 2016.

The minister touched upon Azerbaijan’s historical traditions, tolerance, people’s lifestyle, state support to intercultural and interstate dialogue movement as well government-people harmonic relations in issues of this kind. Abulfas Garayev in the end invited everybody to join the 7th Global Forum in Baku.

As part of his visit, Abulfas Garayev is expected to meet with Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, the UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations and sign the agreement on the holding in Baku on 25-27 April 2016 of the 7th Global Forum between the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the UN Alliance of Civilizations.
