Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. Weak magnetic perturbations are expected on Earth tomorrow.
Chief of the Sun and solar-terrestrial relationship Department of Shamakhi-based Tusi Astrophysical Observatory Namig Jalilov told APA that strong solar flare was recorded on March 11. He said that powerful flash was observed under the Sun’s X -rays and its power reached the red line.
“But the explosion is not directed toward Earth as it occurred beyond the center of the solar disc. Therefore, we are expecting weak magnetic perturbation. The strong solar flare was recorded on March 11, and its effects after three days. We can hence predict that these explosions would reach Earth tomorrow and are likely to cause weak magnetic perturbation,” Namig Jalilov noted.
