APA reports that during preliminary hearing the detainees’ profile data were specified. But the hearing didn’t come to an end as some lawyers were absent. The trial will continue on December 10.
Note that, in April 2014, law enforcement bodies have conducted a search in a house in Khidir Mustafayev Street, Baku. 41 Nurchus were detained while in a gathering in the house. A number of religious books, dissemination of which was prohibited by law, audios and videos propagating Nurchu sect were seized from the house.
Some of the detainees were released after questioning.
The Sabail District Court had sentenced Eldeniz Hajiyev, Ismayil Mammadov, and Ravan Farzaliyev to pre-trial detention, which was later replaced with house arrest.
They face charges under article #168.2 (violating rights of citizens under pretext of distribution of religious faiths) of the Criminal Code
