Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Romanian Transgaz Company intends to buy Azerbaijani gas, to be sold to Europe, through Bulgaria, said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Transgaz Bogdan Iliescu in his interview to Bulgarian media.
Iliescu noted that after construction of Bulgaria-Greece and Bulgaria-Romania interconnectors in the future, it will be possible to transport Azerbaijani gas via these lines too: “Gas transported through Bulgaria can be delivered to Romania. Thereafter, this gas will be transported to Hungary, then to Europe through Austria via one more interconnector”.
He thinks that this route may a part of the Southern Gas Corridor.
