I think the speech sets out very well American policy with respect to Nagorno Karabakh,” told journalists US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar commenting US OSCE co - chair's James Warlick’s speech in the Carnegie Endowment, APA reports.
Diplomat said that it certainly encourages both Armenia and Azerbaijan to take the steps necessary to reach the resolution: "It outlines six points that are necessary, we believe necessary, to reach a settlement. Ambassador Warlick stated very clearly that includes the return of seven occupied territories surrounding Nagorno Karabakh, to be returned to Azerbaijan, and also the need to determine the final status of Nagorno Karabakh based on self determination, territorial integrity and non - use of force. These negotiations have going on for twenty year that is very frustrating. I hope we will see actions from both sides," the Ambassador underlined.
