APA reports that Chairman of the CMB Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh and leaders of the other religious confessions are attending the meeting.
Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh said that the believers have a true intention: “In the upcoming elections we will support the candidate calling us for truth.”
CMB Chairman said that a large number of mosques have been recently constructed and once destroyed ones have been restored with the support of President Ilham Aliyev: “We, believers see the truth. Many of politicians gave us promises regarding construction of mosques and other religious issues up to now, but they did not do anything. Only the late Heydar Aliyev and his successor President Ilham Aliyev kept their promises. Heydar Aliyev's policy covered both the religion and state. Today, Ilham Aliyev continues this policy. Merits and charitable acts of Ilham Aliyev’s family, especially those of Mehriban Aliyeva are exemplary. As a believer, I am proud of that I have a president like Ilham Aliyev. God has sent Ilham Aliyev for us.”
CMB Chairman called on the country’s believers to vote for Ilham Aliyev in the elections.
