Baku-APA. An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted seas off the southern Philippine province of Davao del Sur at 7:46 a.m. local time on Wednesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said, APA reports quoting XInhua.
No casualties and losses have been reported so far, but aftershocks are expected.
The epicenter of the quake was initially determined to be 05.45 degrees north latitude and 125.54 degrees east longitude with a depth of 143 km.
