Decision passed to hold Islamic Solidarity Games 2017 in Baku - <span style="color: red;">PHOTO

Press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports told APA that Vice President of Azerbaijan's National Olympic Committee and the ISSF Chingiz Huseynzade, Head of the Department of International Relations and Executive Director of Baku Organizing Committee for Islamic Solidarity Games 2017 Konul Nurullayeva, National Olympic Committee’s International Program specialist and member of Islamic Solidarity Games' working group Mehman Karimov made presentations about the city. "Baku-2017 Bid Book" was also presented at the assembly.

The bid book covers information about vision and concept of games, political and economic situation, legal aspects, customs and immigration, environment and meteorology, finance, marketing and communication, sports facilities and competitions, accommodation facilities, transportation, security, medical services and doping control units. A special video about Islamic games was screened and booklets were distributed among the participants.

Voting was held at the assembly and decision was unanimously passed on holding the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Azerbaijan in 2017.

The new composition of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) for 2013-2017 was determined, Chingiz Huseynzadeh was re-elected as vice-president of ISSF for another four year term. According to structural changes, Azerbaijani Konul Nurullayeva was elected as the first woman representative of the Executive Committee throughout the activity of ISSF since 1968. So, Azerbaijan is the only state to be represented at the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation with two representatives.

A decision was also passed to hold the next General Assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation in Baku in 2015.
