Baku-APA. WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko has defended his belt after defeating Dereck Chisora in 12 rounds in Germany’s Munich on Saturday night, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.

All three judges unanimously scored the victory for the 40-year-old ‘Dr. Ironfist’ with the final score of 118-110, 118-110, 119-111.

The fight in Germany was preceded by a scandal after Chisora slapped the Ukrainian during a weight-in ceremony.

Klitschko now has a record of 44 wins and two defeats in 46 career fights.

‘Dr. Ironfist’ hung up his gloves in November 2005 due to a knee injury but came back to the ring in 2008 and held nine bouts since then, winning all of them.

Last year Klitschko defended his title twice, winning both fights by technical knockouts.
