Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. More than ten companies, including leading tour operators from Bulgaria, will introduce visitors and participants at AITF 2012 to their services. In addition, Bulgaria will be participating at AITF 2012 as a guest country.

Mr Ivo Marinov, Deputy Minister for Economy, Energy and Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, said: “We see great potential in co-operation between our countries in the field of tourism and this is why we are participating in AITF 2012. In autumn 2011, during his visit to Azerbaijan, the Minister for Economy, Energy and Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, Traicho Traikov, emphasized the broad opportunities for the expansion of co-operation between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria in various sectors of the economy, including tourism. With this is mind, it was decided to implement some activities in order to optimize the flow of tourists from Azerbaijan to Bulgaria and vice versa. Bulgaria decided to participate with a national stand at AITF 2012, and we are confident that our participation in AITF will give impetus to tourism relations between our countries.”

Commenting on the cooperation with Bulgaria, Farid Mamedov, Director of Iteca Caspian, said: “We are delighted that Bulgaria will actively participate in the AITF 2012 exhibition. We have no doubt that the AITF exhibition will be a good opportunity for Bulgarian companies to make themselves known to potential tourists from Azerbaijan and establish strong business relationships with local tourism companies.”
