Outstanding Azerbaijani Pianist Farhad Badalbeyli and Conductor Azad Aliyev will perform in Vilnius

Baku – APA. On the 7th of May Mr. Farhad Badalbeyli, the outstanding pianist, rector of the Music Academy of Azerbaijan, together with conductor Azad Aliyev will give a concert in Vilnius, Lithuanian embassy in Azerbaijan told APA. As the director of the National Philharmonic of Lithuania, Ms Ruta Pruseviciene said she is very happy to have such guests in Lithuania. She also admitted that this is a unique opportunity for the Lithuanian audience not only to get better acquainted with the Azerbaijani music but also a chance to listen to the charismatic and talented pianist Farhad Badalbeyli.

“This is the second joint concert of Lithuanian Symphony Orchestra with the conductor Azad Aliyev. The first concert in 2010 was a big success and we all felt that we should continue working on new projects and extend our partnership.” Ruta Pruseviciene added.

The concert in Vilnius National Philharmonic is a part of the united Baltic – Khazar project which aims to promote Azerbaijani and Lithuanian music around the world. “We hope that Azerbaijani music performed by Lithuanian Symphony Orchestra with participation of Azerbaijani soloists will attract music lovers worldwide. The first concert of this kind will take place in Berlin on the 31th of May, the second one in Stockholm. The patron of this project is Ms Lala Kazimova, the President of the Azerbaijani National Music Committee”, Ruta Pruseviciene stated.

In the concert in Vilnius the Lithuanian Symphony Orchestra together with the conductor Azad Aliyev and pianist Farhad Badalbeyli will perform peaces of L. Bernstein, G. Gershwin, V. Barkauskas, G. Garayev, F. Amirov.
